「Kinkakuji、EGolden Pavillion originally uploaded by kilcher
Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺 Golden Pavilion Temple) is the informal name of Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺, Deer Garden Temple) in Kyoto, Japan. It was originally built in 1397 to serve as a retirement villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, as part of his estate then known as Kitayama.[1] It was his son who converted the building into a Zen temple of the Rinzai school. The temple was burned down twice during the Ōnin War.

I have nothing else to do so I resorted to playing with these images. Thanks to my bro, Jakey, for that cute caricature that I *harassed* him to draw. The “Green Moon” image is part of my Lunar Project set in Flickr.

The gnarly grimace and its permanence,
melted like wax under the sun, transformed,
The sneer and its annoying ever-presence,
seemingly gone but really just metamorphosed.
The ubiquitous dark gloomy cloud above,
ominous and irritatingly omnipresent,
faded, disappeared, looked like it’s gone,
but it’s still there, only now it’s translucent.
That dark brooding figure so often reminiscent
of dysphoria, of melancholy, of infinite sadness,
slowly and somehow grudgingly finally stops scowling,
finally accepts a concept as foreign as happiness.

You got me trippin’ (oh), stumblin’ (oh)
Flippin’ (oh), fumblin’ (so)
Clumsy ’cause I’m …
You got me slippin’ (oh), tumblin’ (oh)
Sinkin’ (oh), crumblin’ (so)
Clumsy ’cause I’m …

bakit ba ang lalim naman yata nito?
puro paa’t kawalan ang nakikita ko.
kakaibang takot, nakakasira ng ulo,
sa kinatatayuan ko’y mukhang mapapako.
bakit ba may nanunulak na lang bigla?
kitang-kita mo nang hindi pa nga handa.
una-ulo kaya akong makikipagkilala
sa sementong matagal nang tumitingala?
bakit kaya ang lalim ng babagsakan ko?
aba’y hindi na talaga nakakaaliw ito.
ayos lang sana kung mayroong sasalo
o kaya hawak na lang sana ang kamay mo.

[ MORPHEUS ]
It is sometimes a mistake to climb;
it is always a mistake never even to make the attempt.
If you do not climb, you will not fall.
This is true.
But is it that bad to fail, that hard to fall?
.
.
.
Sometimes you wake, and sometimes, yes, you die.
But there is a third alternative.

And sometimes, when you fall, you learn to fly.

Oh you are in my blood like holy wine
And you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet

Oh I could drink a case of you
I could drink a case of you darling
Still I’d be on my feet
I’d still be on my feet
Joni Mitchell | A Case of You
—————–
I’ve heard this song before but sort of forgot about it (just like every single thing actually, nothing ever stays in my mind anymore, you see). And then Madam brought it up again during the mini-jam-session last Friday and well, can I just say that Joni Mitchell is frikkin’ awesome?
