I can’t remember anything that happened in Series because that was way too long ago so I’m picking the Series Finale because I totes love the scene where Sid is going all over New York trying to find Cassie.

Day 5 – Your favourite series
Series 3, OFC. No question. At all.
I mean, we got Katie and Emily with their twin thing, the Katie and Effy bashing the head with the rock thing, Freddie and Cook fighting over Effy, Tomo being awesome, Naomily, Pandora Frakking Awesome Moon, The Love Ball. And this is the series where all the cheating seems to be too far away from their minds yet (except the Freddy/Effy thing at the woods but whatevs).

Day 4 – Your least favourite character from each gen
Gen 1
Sketch.
Because she’s way too obsessed over Maxxie, despite the fact that he’s gay. And also because of the following exchange:
Sketch’s Mum: I didn’t bring you up to be a liar.
Sketch: You didn’t bring me up at all – fucking cripple!
Shaking my damn head at that.
Gen 2
Freddie Mclair.
I don’t necessarily hate Freddie. It’s just that, amongst everyone on Gen 2, he’s my least favorite. I think his character is a bit lame (compared to all the others) and I’ll probably pick Cook over him on the basis that Cook knows what he wants and all. I’m not really sure what to think of him finally getting Effy in Series 5 because I wasn’t focusing on that storyline lolz. Too bad he had to, like, die at the end of Series 5 in the hands of Effy’s shrink.
Gen 3
Nick Levan.
He’s the one character in Gen 3 that I felt like wasn’t whole enough, even though he sort of quit the rugby team because … of what exactly — his father? I dunno. He’s a jerk, fosho, but the writers sort of tried to soften that up. But still, you know, the whole business of being with Mini when he’s not in love with her, the sleeping with Liv while he was still with Mini, et cetera.

Day 3 — Your favourite G3 character
Grace Violet Blood
“To a fucking castle in the clouds!”
A firm believer in fairytales and happy-endings, something she partially attributed to the stories her mother had her read.
Grace is a ballerina, an actress, is prim and proper but eventually reveals her wilder side as the series progressed.

Bullets for Bitches

The first episode of Series 5 and also Gen 3 of Skins is all about Frankie Fitzgerald. Apparently she’s that token Skins character that you can’t just put in a box (I know, I know, all Skins characters rock, even Freddy whom I don’t really like but eh whatever).
So Frankie’s like dressed in an unorthodox way, has two gay dads (who actually were shown — up yours, Glee, you never showed Rachel Berry’s dads), doesn’t wear makeup, and is just weird enough to make you invest in her character and not turn you off or whatever.
After months of grieving over the end (and the preposterousness) of Series 4 and the end of Gen 2 as well, I’m finally back to being giddy about the very pretty cinematography and shots and ooooh the colors that are so characteristic of every Skins episode! Frankie’s episode made me always go 
and 
about every frakking shot that I almost could not choose which scene I’d post in this self-imposed meme. I finally narrowed it down to two sequential shots:
Love love love the slightly greenish/purplish overlay or exclusion layer or whatever that is that the Skins DOP did.
Plus, you know, the map? Yeah, it’s awesome. Not everyone has iPhones or has access to Google Maps, you know. And yeah, take note that if she intertwines her fingers, the letters on the tips will spell her name. You kill me with the details, Skins, really.

Yeah, so I thought since the main reason I love Skins aside from the awesome writing is the way they color everything — so, so, so, pretty colors — I’d post one snapshot of my favorite scene in each episode. Right now I’m currently watching the Nick Levan episode of Series 5. So anyway, here’s the shot of the episode.

I’ll have to re-watch all the previous episodes (from Franky to Liv) to post. After I’m done with that, let’s see if I can still go on and do the same thing with Series 3 and Series 4. Haha, hope I get to finish this, unlike that other meme I seem to have abandoned.
