Its name comes from <a title=\"Japan\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Japan\">Japanese<\/a> <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Punk band\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Punk_band\">punk band<\/a> <a title=\"The Blue Hearts\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Blue_Hearts\">The Blue Hearts<\/a>&#8216; hit song <em>&#8220;<a title=\"Linda Linda\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Linda_Linda\">Linda Linda<\/a>&#8220;<\/em>. The film was directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita and stars <a title=\"Aki Maeda\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aki_Maeda\">Aki Maeda<\/a>, <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Yu Kashii\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yu_Kashii\">Yu Kashii<\/a>, and <a title=\"Shiori Sekine\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shiori_Sekine\">Shiori Sekine<\/a> as the band members, and <a title=\"Bae Doona\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bae_Doona\">Bae Doona<\/a> as a <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"South Korean\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/South_Korean\">South Korean<\/a> foreign exchange student. The students&#8217; band, Paran Maum (Korean for &#8220;The Blue Hearts&#8221;), released a CD single in Japan and Korea entitled <em>We Are Paran Maum<\/em>.
