From AP @ ESPN article:

“I don’t want my team to compare themselves to anyone,” UConn coach Geno Auriemma said afterward. “I’m not John Wooden and this isn’t UCLA. This is Connecticut and that’s good enough.”

Senior All-Everything Maya Moore dropped a career-high 41 points and snagged 10 boards for the historic win. Frosh Bria Hartley wrecked the Seminoles with her 21 points on 8 of 9 shooting (including 5 of 5 from 3pt range). This kid is someone to watch out for.

It’s been ages since I wrote something about basketball. Let’s blame that on work and other stuff that had been plaguing my attention. I’ve missed a lot of UConn games this season just because of the hassle of moving apartments and work and the time difference and okay, I’ll think of better excuses later.

Spartak is all sorts of imploding lately. What the heck. Let’s see if they get better once Sue gets to Russia after the holidays.
